GRM - First in Ireland and UK to offer scanning speeds of 550 pages per minuteBancTec, a global provider of advanced products and services to the document and payment processing markets, today announced that Glenbeigh Records Management, of Dublin, Ireland, has become the first organisation within the UK and Ireland to implement the new IntelliScan® XDS(eXtreme Document Scanner) the most advanced high-speed, multi-application document scanning solution on the market. Glenbeigh Records Management is a document storage and records management services provider with a secure off-site scanning and archive facility in Dublin.

The IntelliScan XDS is a multi-application, high-speed, mixed document scanner that offers colour, bi-tonal and grayscale image-capturing capabilities up to 600 dpi optical resolution with scanning speeds of up to 550 pages per minute. BancTec will officially launch the IntelliScan XDS in the UK at Documation UK, taking place at Olympia, London on 17th-18th October, 2007.

The IntelliScan XDS provides a completely open paper track to reduce document jams and significantly improve recovery times when a jam does occur. It incorporates easy-to-learn controls and video-based assistance which allows job set-up and training to be quick and simple. These capabilities have allowed Glenbeigh Records Management to spend more time working on quality improvement and customer service activities rather than document preparation and scanning tasks. In addition, BancTec’s local presence and support infrastructure provides Glenbeigh Records Management with immediate response times to support enquiries.
