Glenbeigh Records Management (GRM) Ltd. is embarking on the next leg of expansion for our scanning division, having recently signed a contract with Opex for the purchase of two of their flagship document scanning workstations – ‘The Opex Falcon’. The Opex further enhances GRM’s ability to scan challenging documents such as folder covers, envelopes and poor quality originals. This builds on our addition of a second Treventus ScanRobot® 2.0 Mass Digitisation System earlier in the year.
This move is a proactive step to fulfil current demand within the market for both document and book scanning. It also addresses a growing demand for our digital mailroom service, whereby we securely collect mail from a dedicated PO Box and deliver it electronically to clients just in time for the start of their working day.
The Opex Falcon is designed to attack the most difficult and daunting workflow challenges. It combines Opex’s innovative one-step drop feed scanning with the performance of a high-capacity production scanner, providing the only universal document scanning workstation on the market. The Falcon can scan everything from single sheets to multiple large stacks of paper intermixed, while its conveyor can hold more than 700 pages at any given time, allowing maximum throughput and uninterrupted processing.
The Treventus ScanRobot® 2.0 on the other hand is designed for large volume digitisation of any bound material. This scanner has three scanning modes including automatic scanning, semi-automatic scanning for the gentle scanning of fragile books and manual scanning for the cover, spine, and fold outs.
Both of these scanners have an optical resolution of 300 dpi and they are capable of outputting images in preservation quality black and white, grayscale or full colour, in a number of formats.
